About the Speakers:
Ivanti Product Manager - Patch, Todd Schell
Todd has been an active member of the security community for over 30 years. His security career began as an Air Force officer where he was a member of the Air Force Computer Emergency Response Team and actually wrote the original concept of operations. Deciding to take advantage of the growing security market in the late 1990s, he joined several colleagues as a founder of WheelGroup Corporation. They produced a network intrusion detection product called NetRanger which was purchased by Cisco Systems in 1998 and became Cisco Secure IDS. He left Cisco in 2003 to join another startup, CoreTrace, specializing in application control. Starting with CoreTrace, he’s been through a series of mergers and acquisitions as product manager for several security technologies. These include Lumension (device control), HEAT Software (patch and OEM technologies), and now Ivanti. Here at Ivanti, he’s excited to provide product management direction for Patch for Windows Servers, Patch for SCCM, and the patch engine technologies.
